I have decided that four and a half hours of sleep is better than six! Clearly! I use math.
I’m busy going insane
lonelysandwich: infomercial aesthetics by holzman Bookmark this. From now until eternity, if you are having trouble sleeping, play this back, one time only. Twice if you need a good laugh. Three times if you need a good cry. via jacobbijani mmmm
jimray: How to create an online dating video profile that says “I’ve invested heavily in Axe body spray.” I dare you to watch this the full way through. [via Esquire] But I like the smell of Axe…kind of.
Twitter, I’ve missed you!!
You should all know that today is International Delete Your Myspace Account Day. (via @jimray)
I have to cram like a maniac for my test tomorrow. Blast.

This is the first time in a LOOONG time I’ve actually been excited about doing research. …Do I have a new direction for my future??
buzzandersen: My girlfriend gave me a Diana camera for Christmas, which has revived my flirtation with medium format toy cameras. I was at the camera store buying 120 film for it today, and the clerk told me enthusiastically about how someone had hacked their Holga to work as a motion picture camera. Naturally, I went home and looked it up, and I think the results are very lo-fi cool, if a bit...

– John Gruber on computer voting machines (via katrina) This is the link I posted a while back (7 January) about e-voting. Reblogged for Jake (my brother).

Taking a break from my usual cup(s) of Earl Grey for some British Breakfast tea. With heavy whipping cream in it instead of skim milk. Oops!

livejamie: Very very cool, it’s crazy how complicated it is. This is SWEET. I bet the design students I know would see some things in here to think about.
Surge protectors are surge protecting, flashlights are nearby, laptop is charging, homework is downloaded, backup alarm is set. Bring it on!
Pumped for this storm!
Gym Theory
jakoblodwick: Many times in my life, I’ve started going to the gym with the intention of getting in really good shape. The problem is, once my shape improves noticeably, I lose interest in getting in even better shape, and stop going. It’s been a year since I last did any exercise. I’d heard from a dozen people that exercise is important because it clears your mind, similar to...
Instapaper →
marco: I’m ready to direct some traffic to my little side project, Instapaper. I’ve been using it for months and couldn’t live without it now. Here’s the basic premise: You come across substantial news or blog articles that you want to read, but don’t have time at the moment. You need something to read while sitting on a bus, waiting in a line, or bored in front of a computer. Instapaper solves...
Running (away from my problems) (sometimes it’s not entirely metaphorical)
Even on rainy days, the art museum is a gorgeous place.
I LOOOVE retro architecture. My god. I want to live in Disney’s Tomorrowland.
Now that I got my average character count to 140 for the last week, I’m giving up on twooshing all the time.
Is it nice out right now? I haven’t seen the outdoors in two hours, and I won’t for another two. At least. I definitely have cabin fever.
I will be spending 60% of my time on campus today in rooms with no windows. This is great, because I hate sunlight and warmth (and puppies).
An idea!!
Yeah, yeah, I’m still up. Ughhhh … I wish I weren’t. But I am now completely nocturnal. Anyway, as the theme today seemed to be how real life could imitate your worst nightmare of a 7th grade cafeteria, I just (inexplicably) wrote an email to yet another anonymous girl who’s been blogging nasty things about me. She said she wanted to stop following my blog, but she...
Can you tell that I like Zac Efron? Because I totally do. He’s super cute in that terrible All-American way…And by terrible, I mean great!

I think I’m going to procrastinate by - get ready for it - finger painting! I need to inject some actual creativity into my life in a hurry.
I bought finger painting supplies, but I’m going to try to be productive for just a wee bit before I use them. Exercising restraint is hard.
I made scones for breakfast using heavy cream. We had (homemade) whipped cream and REAL butter on them. I think I feel my arteries clogging.
I love the mastery that is a gin and tonic. The lime that (as I mentioned before) I absolutely love, the evergreen pine needles taste… mm
I still know all (I mean ALL) of the words to the Spice Girls’ “Spice” album, which makes me (officially) a pathetic product of the mid-90s.
I’m trying to resist that intense urge to write something that seems profound only when drunk. I’m not quite drunk, but man, do I want to share my “wisdom” with the world.
If I were applying to Georgia Tech, the application would be due today. I decided I was sick of applications, though, so I’m giving that up.
In the spirit of more cooking, my roommate and I made fresh guacamole. I prefer mine with more lime juice. Now we’re watching the Producers!
I’m looking at the Magnolia soundtrack on iTunes and all of the related works are other soundtracks or Penderecki, an eerie, weird composer.
I felt like crap all day yesterday, so I celebrated feeling a bit better by making pancakes, pie crust, and quiche from scratch (very yummy)
